Ol Moran grew out of a journey through Kenya that revealed what a safari could be.
Travelling independently as an Italian and British family, we spent time at a lodge rooted in its local community. We had come for the wildlife. We left thinking just as much about the people we had met: their warmth, their generosity and the depth of their connection to the land.
We kept in touch. Over time, those relationships became the beginning of Ol Moran: a chance to bring our different skills together and create the kind of safari we believe in. One that offers an exceptional experience of the wild and puts half of its profit to build lasting opportunities for the people who call this land home.

OL MORAN is a young man who starts out protecting the people and the land.
We design tailor-made luxury safaris where moments with wildlife and time with local communities belong to the same journey.
OUR IMPACTMore than 80 countries have taken us to reserves, conservation projects and villages where traditions are kept alive every day.
We founded Ol Moran on the belief that a safari can be community-led, with local knowledge and relationships shaping it from the beginning.
Every itinerary is designed alongside the Ol Moran team, Kenyans whose families have safeguarded these landscapes for generations. Their expertise is central to every safari our guests enjoy and to the future we are building together.

Before this land became Irvine’s life’s work, it was simply home. Born and raised between Laikipia and Isiolo, he learned these plains the way a child learns a mother tongue: by living inside them. Years of tracking wildlife across open ground turned that closeness into craft, and today he is a qualified driver and wildlife guide with an instinct for the bush that comes from belonging to it. On every safari he leads, he shares the landscapes of his childhood, the stories that live in them and the love for the wild that has shaped his life.

Raised in the bush long before he led his first safari, Ben is a Maasai Moran who learned this land by protecting his livestock and his community. He reads it the way others read words: he can name an animal from its tracks alone, tell what passed by from a single dropping in the grass and sense a shift in the soil that most would walk straight past. The bush speaks to Ben, and he has spent a lifetime learning to listen.

Italian by birth, London-based by life, Gaia gave her heart to Kenya: to its people, its culture, a wild beauty that stays with you. As a mother of two little girls, she protects the people she loves with an instinct that shapes every journey she designs. For Gaia, safari is where core memories are made: a family hand in hand at sunrise, a sundowner over the plains, laughter carried home, everything held safely and joyfully.

Nicola has spent his life chasing the horizon: more than 80 countries and still counting, always drawn to the far edges of the map. Then Kenya gave his journey a heart and a place to belong. Today he is driven by a simple belief: a world-class journey can build futures for the people of rural Africa. Every journey he crafts breathes Africa and invites you to know it from the inside, through expert knowledge of the wild and a deep love for this land and its people.

Every adventure deserves one person who has read the small print. Careful by nature, Paolo studies the trail before taking a step; offer him a genuine adventure and he dives in, heart and all. That rare balance, thoughtful, grounded and fully present, makes him the trusted voice behind every journey he shapes: adventurous at their core, sure-footed in every detail.
