CONSERVANCY

A wilderness worth protecting

CONSERVANCY

What is Conservancy

Conservancies are protected landscapes managed in partnership with the local communities who call them home. They make room for wildlife without drawing a line between people and the land.

Here, local knowledge helps safeguard habitats and guide the care of the land.Travelling through a conservancy makes you part of that story. You see the landscape through the eyes of those who know it intimately, while your visit helps protect fragile ecosystems and sustain local livelihoods.

It is a way to experience Kenya more deeply: conservation and connection, hand in hand.

WHY CONSERVANCY FEES MATTER

Make experience on your way

Conservancy fees are included in your safari. They help sustain the work that allows wildlife and local communities to share these landscapes, including:
  • Wildlife monitoring and anti-poaching patrols
  • Habitat protection and restoration
  • Jobs for local rangers and guides
  • Community projects, including schools and healthcare
  • Livelihoods for local families

Meet Giza

Born to a spotted mother, Giza carries a rare gene that turned her coat black. In the right light her rosettes appear, and in the bush of Laikipia, one of Africa’s leading conservation landscapes, she is the most celebrated of the region’s black leopards.

This land is cared for by local communities who chose to give this space back to wildlife, which is why there’s no traffic and no crowds.

OUR VISION

To redefine safari travel as a force that supports wildlife and the communities who protect it, built on deep, respectful connections.
